Sports club

Sweden's sports movement has a well-established ability to attract children to participate in activities of various kinds. However, after the age of ten, a major drop-off occurs, with many of the young people choosing to leave, and this trend has grown over time.
With physical literacy as a compass, there are many opportunities to design an activity where more people feel welcome. For example, by opening up for greater individual variation in engagement: not everyone wants to compete or train many times a week. We can develop leadership that encourages more people to be able, willing and able to participate, try more different sports and start at a later age. More people should feel they have a natural place in sport. Early development of movement skills also leads to increased performance and fewer injuries.
