Jakob Spjut, Magnus Hammar, Linda Johansson and Lisa Holmström Gustafsson were some of the participants from the pilot municipalities on a study visit to Örebro.

'I can't believe we had to go to Örebro to find each other at home'

That's a quote from the project team. This is what it's all about - working together across sectors to make a change. The project group includes representation from different sectors such as education, services, society, etc. Questions were raised. What are the goals of our playgrounds today? Is the focus mainly on minimizing risks or understanding and promoting play values? How do we as adults take responsibility for the best interests of children in terms of physical environments?

Gustav Älgå construction project manager and Mimmi Beckman planner, from the Örebro municipality park unit.

'We aim for a balanced risk assessment, not risk minimization.'

Says Mimmi Beckman, planner at the Örebro municipality parks department.

Mimmi Beckman and Gustav Älgå welcomed twenty-five people from the pilot municipalities of Mölndal and Lidköping to share their work on moving from playgrounds to play environments.

The City of Mölndal's Make a Move project manager, Anna Ekdahl, on the study visit to Örebro where the means of transportation was a bicycle for the whole group.

- You need to understand that play can be many different things. We have moved from playgrounds to play environments, from the one-dimensional to something richer and more exciting - what children need," says Mimmi Beckman.
