Silverbyn Preschool recently held a much appreciated activity day where several local sports clubs gave the children the opportunity to try new sports. The day offered the children a safe and playful introduction to club life - in an environment they recognize and feel safe in.
During the day, the children tried tennis with Lidköpings Tennisklubb, bandy with Lidköpings AIK, running with Lidköpings Vintersportklubb and skating with Lidköpings Skateboardförening.
The fact that the activities were held right next to the preschool made a big difference - the thresholds for participation were lowered and the children dared to challenge themselves, have fun and discover new ways of moving. It was gratifying to see their courage, curiosity and joy of movement grow throughout the day.
Working with Make a Move strengthens the preschool's ability to interact with local associations and create early, positive experiences of physical activity. This not only benefits children's health and development, but also long-term inclusion in local community life.
