Before the start of the semester at the preschools Gärdesängen and Bifrost in Mölndal, Make a Move held a training day in movement understanding for all educators. The preschools are early adopters of the theory of understanding movement in practice in Västra Götaland.
"This is exactly what we want, to strengthen children's self-esteem but also our own awareness of movement understanding." says Anneli Andersson, head teacher at Bifrost preschool.

The training day brought together 60 preschool educators who participated in an interactive and engaging workshop. Julia Hildorzon with the help of Emelie Lilja from RF-SISU Västra Götaland guided the group through a mix of theory, reflection and practical exercises. The day was characterized by laughter, joy and the feeling of being part of something meaningful.
Integrating movement and play, including so-called 'risky play', into children's daily lives creates an inspiring learning environment that promotes their development and self-confidence on multiple levels.

"We see every possibility for the project to be a success, it is not only rewarding and stimulating for the children, but has aroused great interest among the staff group." says Christina Gyllander, principal of Gärdsängens preschool.
The training day marks the start of an exciting journey where Mölndal's early childhood educators actively promote increased movement from an early age. Through collaboration, research and practical examples, Make a Move can support preschools in their movement initiatives towards a more active and healthy future for future generations.
