Thank you for a great conference!
In Västra Götaland, the cross-sectoral initiative Make a Move has been working for just over two years to create mobile communities. Through collaboration between actors from different sectors of society, both knowledge has been disseminated and concrete initiatives developed. Lidköping Municipality and the City of Mölndal have taken innovative approaches to promote movement in their municipalities - and the lessons learned were shared at the Make a Move conference. Many thanks to all participants and speakers who filled the conference with inspiration, joy and knowledge!
"The power of cross-sectoral work, what skills, what power!!!"
"It inspired me to continue working across sectors. All the energy, joy, warmth and inspiring people! The fact that there are so many people around us in society doing so much good to get our children moving."
"Physical literacy, movement skills and movement culture - new terms that can have a big impact. Also how we can think more broadly in physical environments with more competences."
"Joy, community and encouragement. The fact that so many different agencies are working towards the same goal is wonderful"
"A great day in every way, but what I found most interesting was hearing your different ways of working towards the same goal. The different conditions of the municipalities and that it is a joint effort."

In the registration form, choose which of the following learning sessions you wish to attend. Make a Move's working method is cross-sectoral, which means that we collaborate across the boundaries between different areas. For example, in preschool, we work with the physical environments, to create the best conditions for movement. This gives you an opportunity to learn more about how to work across borders for a movement-rich society.
Preschool learning sessions
Content
The first six years of a child's life are a time of rapid physical and cognitive development, and we know that regular physical activity promotes both physical and mental health throughout life. During the learning session, we will hear about how preschools have been working on changing their approach to physical activity and the effects they have experienced.
- How do we equip children to be courageous, willing and competent throughout their lives?
- How are children's voices heard in the design of environments?
- What efforts have been required from the staff team and other departments of the municipality to allow children to be in an environment that is as safe as necessary rather than as safe as possible?
Listen to headteachers and educators who really talk about their movement where collaboration, research and daring to try new things are in focus.
