Make a Move has been granted support from the General Inheritance Fund

We are proud and excited to continue developing our model for creating vibrant communities in Västra Götaland. After successful pilot projects in Lidköping municipality and Mölndal city, we are now taking the next step together with: Vänersborg Municipality, Gullspång Municipality, Skara Municipality, Lerum Municipality, Vara Municipality and Uddevalla Municipality.

With the support of the Swedish Inheritance Fund, we will focus on children aged 1-6 years, with the goal of increasing children's movement in everyday life. By creating collaboration between guardians, preschools, sports clubs, community planning and child health care, we continue to develop new ways of working with physical literacy as a common approach. The goal is for children to dare, want and be able to participate in movement activities.

In collaborating municipalities, we will work to establish local movement councils, develop movement dialogues as a tool for children's participation, and develop training packages and digital tools for preschools. In addition, we will develop forms of cooperation between preschools, local sports clubs and Fritidsbanken, and establish regional networks for exchanging ideas and experiences.

- "It's fantastic that we've been given this opportunity to further develop our initiative and also spread it to more municipalities. It is clear proof that what we are doing is good and that it has an effect. It also strengthens our collaboration with our partners Region Västra Götaland, the University of Gothenburg, the County Administrative Board, GoCo Health and Innovation City, Fritidsbanken and the Västra Götaland Parasport Association," says Lisa Manhof, project owner for Make a Move.
